Fly fly fly what a wonderful feeling.  Clean and Simple like the card.

Background made by smooshing DI's, splattering with white ink.  "Fly" repeat stamped in a swoosh and dotted with Opal Dust to make a trail.  I debated adding a sentiment but decided "fly" was enough.  The dart is on 3D foam.

NBUS stamp & die.  Isn't it the cutest fairy cat?  leaving not so fairy-like footprints!

I coloured the image with Copics , added Stickles to the wings which I left free (unglued) to flutter!.  The lemon card is roughly textured.  I left it without a sentiment so I could add one as a suitable occasion arose... maybe "thanks for feeding my cat", or "don't pussyfoot around, go for it"...

Earth Day

 

It's Earth Day!  'Start somewhere' seems appropriate.  I used stuff I already had.

The background is previously made using distress inks residue of a stencil. Sparkle on the globe (opal Dust)  and some clear droplets.

Birdie Birthday

I made this for the parents of a 3 year old little birthday boy who loves birds.  I have blocked out their faces & details for privacy.  The photo was supplied.  Inside message done on the computer.  The birds were diecut from previously smooshed leftover card.  The inside bird has it's song stamped on.

I do like a bit of sparkle, here it is in the shake.  Plenty of tutorials on how to construct these cards.  I used a few layers with shades of purple to stack.  I thought the clear sequins looked like raindrops on the leaves & petals.

This is my last time with the House Mouse Design Team.  I have enjoyed being in this wonderful team for more than five years - I will miss our friendly chats and mousey fun - thank you for having me! I will be popping in from time to time to join in the challenges, and so will see you all around in blogland.

I chose a fruity citrus stencil to go with the image and warmed it up stencilling with warm orangey inks.  The sentiment is diecut from sparkly red card.  The image is from a CD.  I imagine a dip in lemonade would be a mousey spa! (tickle tickle)

Goofy Things

 

I made this for a NZ cardswap buddy.  We had a sketch, and had to use an animal not it's natural colouring.  Lie in wait and jump out for a surprise .... who hasn't done this when they were kids?

I embossed card and swiped with DI's to make a brick wall with an opening in it (the shape of the sketch).  Stamped the cats onto patterned paper and fussy cut, added touches of Copic, glittery eyes on one cat and googly eyes on the other.  I think the background looks like a castle.   From Scraps and stuff I already had in my stash.

Earth Day coming up 22 April.  RRR:  reduce-reuse-recycle.  

I re-used recycled packaging snippets: embossed,  torn, and diecut.  Also offcuts of gold mirror card.  The background is card I had previously experimented on, with splashes of blue.  Stamped on it, chopped it down into a slim panel.  Gold for precious and enduring, blue for the atmosphere.

Birthday Crown

 

A shape card, a square card, a card with jewels and a crown for a special birthday.  The word die cut from large floral print patterned paper, crown from gold metallic card.  The shape is accentuated with hand drawn doodle border in black & white ink.

Whatever the Weather

 I had a bit of inky fun with this.  I rather think it's like you're looking out a window that is running with rain, and I like how the rain on the umbrella changes and sprinkles a rainbow underneath.

Warm My Soul Cat

My cat is paper pieced & coloured, with a stencilled background oval stacked diecut.  The background is embossed and inked, decorated with a strip of inked border buttons.  All tied with yarn and dotted with gems.

I used some DP from my stash that were double side and coordinating.  The green has photographed as dull  but IRL is a pretty bright olive more like the leafy green.  I popped the image & senti on 3D foam, putting a little bundle of gold thread under the senti.
